I want to make sure I can update the host files.ĭon't know if I should start a new thread for this: I noticed that Win 7 and updates took up all but 6G of my allocated 25G. Tomorrow, I'll make sure that the default read/write works when running my software on the Guest machine. Once I selected the share, I mapped it to Z: in the Guest. I decided to re-install Guest Additions to set up folder share with host files. Bottom line - after all was done, normal looking CPU! I'm guessing (as one who has written Virtual Basic programs) that this MAKE thing was a continuation of the Framework stuff (possibly making executables?). Seems like some other processes (like MAKE something-or-other) took the CPU, but it died down, too. One was a pre-compile process evidently kicked off by the Win Upd installation of Net Framework. Then other processes start consuming all the CPU. The initial Windows Updates did take forever, but at some point the "Trusted" process eventually consumed less and less CPU with each Win Upd. As I finish for the night, I thought I'd post my status for future reference.
